Day 2

Well, today is day two of Matt being gone. I was really sick yesterday, so not much was done around the house. I came home yesterday, took lots of medicine, and then went and picked up the kids. We made home made pizza and then played Magic Kingdom. They were soooo good for me. They finished their homework right away and got their 30 toys ready to be donated (deal we made that if they donated 30 toys, they would receive $20). We will finish that up on the 23rd (winter break will leave me childless until then).

I handed over all the kids clothes yesterday to Erin...well most, the ones that I was willing to part with. I didn't realize how attached I could be to stupid clothes. I guess it just shows the deeper rooted issues I am having with losing the kids. I am really going to miss seeing them almost everyday. However, I am really excited to have the kids for longer periods of time. Tyler and I talked about when we will have them for the breaks and he was so excited. That made me excited. It is hard to get excited when things are in such limbo.

I have talked to Matt about 4 times today...yeah, I know :-) The last time we talked he was in Missouri. We agreed that he would not travel long periods each day because he is by himself. There is too much risk there. He said that he will stop today in Oklahoma. I believe that is the half way point. Just as long as he is there by Friday to pick me up from the airport! Unfortunately, this is only a short visit, and I will only be in AZ for three days to find us temporary housing.

Speaking of temporary housing. It was very difficult to find small (6/7 month) leases in the Phoenix area. There was only a total of 7, we chose 5 out of that, and then a close friend that used to live in AZ looked it over and cut it down to two. That makes me a little nervous, but the one that I really like was part of his two. I am hoping that we will be signing lease papers by noon on Saturday so that we can enjoy our Valentines Day (with one less thing to worry about).

Today is Wednesday, so after work I will head home, get into some comfy clothes and head over to Kristin's to watch LOST. I am going to start working on the garage and cleaning that out, so I will start tonight with taking Nathan the workbench. I know that he will really enjoy it. If the weather continues to stay this nice, I may be able to get a lot of time into the garage - the area that needs the most work :-)

Not even three more days and I get to see Matt!!
